The request has to do with the Writ of Certiorari case a group of Fort Myers Beach residents (Protect FMB) have filed against the town to have the Town Council take another look at the approval of the Seagate/Red Coconut property redevelopment project.

Our Saturday morning 8AM walkaround will be on another one of Fort Myers Beach's cool streets, Del Mar Avenue. Our walkarounds are our most popular videos. Everyone wants to see how the rebuild is coming along and Del Mar is a great example of the beach's great progress.

Fort Myers Beach Vice Mayor Jim Atterholt is our guest Sunday morning at 10AM at Wahoo Willie's. We plan to clear up any confusion about the temporary use permits for trailers with the Vice Mayor, and as always get a full Santini Plaza update. Arrive early to get a good seat.

On Jimmy Buffett Day, August 29th, Margaritaville Resort on Fort Myers Beach is supporting My Autism Connection as part of the brand’s “Day of Service.” From 10A-2P , the resort will host a Carnival of Fun on the Sunset Terrace and in the Compass Rose Ballroom.

As part of Parks and Recreation Month, Lee County will be offering free parking at Bowditch Point Park and Lynn Hall Memorial park this Saturday and Sunday.

On Wednesday the Town of Fort Myers Beach sent out a press release reminding residents and business owners using trailers to live in, or to operate a business out of, they must be gone by September 23rd, 2025.

The event hadn't been held on Fort Myers Beach since before COVID. This past Saturday Crescent Beach Park was filled with smiling faces with the return of the annual Surfers With Autism event sponsored in part by Lee County.

Back in March, Trish Johnson, who works on Fort Myers Beach, lost her 17-year old daughter in a car accident. On Sunday she came on the show to thank everyone for helping her get through the grief. Watch the 5-minute clip of what Trish said on Beach Talk Radio.
