Checking In With The Local Churches

In addition to all the community events taking place on the beach, the local churches are keeping busy as well. Let’s check in with Chapel By The Sea, Beach United Methodist, St. Raphael’s Episcopal Church and St. Peter Lutheran Church to see what they have planned for March.

Tommy O will be performing Sunday March 13th at Chapel by the Sea. It’s an early St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Tickets are $30 for the lunch or dinner show. The meal includes a corned beef sandwich, cole slaw, and more. Call the church office at 239-463-3173 or pay online www.chapelbts.org

On Tuesday, March 8th, the Beach United Methodist Church at 155 Bay Road (behind the Library) will host singer and entertainer Paul Todd at 7:00 pm. Paul and Friends will perform a concert featuring the music of Broadway and Gospel hits. The free concert is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.

Life Line Screening, will offer their affordable, noninvasive, and painless health screenings on Tuesday, March 1st at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Register for a Wellness package which includes 4 vascular tests + Osteoporosis screening. The special pricing for members is $139. The screenings take 60-90 minutes to complete. Also at St. Pete’s, Reiko and friends, a group of 9 string musicians with 4 Violins, 2 Violas, 2 Cellos and 1 Acoustic Bass will perform on March 8th at 5:30PM. St.Peter Lutheran Church located at 3751 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach.

St. Raphael’s Episcopal Church’s next shrimp dinner is Saturday, March 5th in the Comfort Hall. Take out is available between 4:30 and 5:00. Seating for in-house dining between 5:00 and 7:00. Cost: $20.00 per person.
