The grand total from the Community Foundation’s first virtual auction raised $10,283 when it ended on March 20th. 54 items were available for bidding with shopping spree’s at Local Color and The Islander going for $1000 each. Many people graciously opened their wallets to support this organizations mission and got a great deal in the process.
The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation which is a 501C3 organization provides support to over 30 local charities as well as individuals through scholarships for higher education and assistance via Publix gift cards to those who felt the financial sting of the Covid 19 pandemic.
This will add to the $180,000 the foundation has already raised in the last 10 years. A big thanks to all those who participated by donating items, voluteering to set up and run the auction as well as all those who bid making this a successful event.Â
