On Saturday, October 31st, the Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation is hosting an 12-location fundraising pub crawl. Alex King donated $5,000 to sponsor the event that begins at Bayside Park at 5PM.
To join the fun, the Community Foundation is asking for a $20 donation. The proceeds will go into the Community Foundation general fund which is used to distribute to community organizations as well as educational scholarships.
The Community Foundation has distributed over $700,000 to over 30 organizations. They’ve donated to FMB Public Library, Estero Island Historic Society, FMB Â MERTF, Ronald McDonald House, Keep Lee County Beautiful, Friends of Lovers Key, Bay Oaks Recreation, Mound House, Beach Kids Foundation, Estero Bay Buddies, FMB Art Association, scholarships to FSW and have a funded FSW endowment. Their goal is to help those in need.
