Free Parking at Lynn Hall Park and Bowditch Beach Park on Fort Myers Beach ended Sunday, October 1st. Lee County began charging $2.00 per hour to park in both lots Monday, October 2nd.
Parking has been free at Lynn Hall Park since the lot opened back up months ago. Bowditch has also been free since that park opened back up several weeks ago.
Lee County is launching a new parking payment system called Text2Park to allow patrons to pay for parking from their mobile device. The system features a cashless pay-by-plate system. This means visitors will no longer need to visit a kiosk or display a parking receipt on the dashboard of their vehicle.
