The recent Wild about CROW fundraising event raised over $300,000 to rebuild the organization’s North American River Otter outdoor rehabilitation enclosure. The river otter enclosure was the final wildlife rehabilitation enclosure still in need of repair following the devastation of Hurricane Ian.
According to CROW officials, “With these funds secured, we can fully restore our capacity to provide specialized, species-appropriate care for injured and orphaned river otters—an important native species in Southwest Florida.”
