Last week, the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife admitted two more sea turtles: a juvenile Green Sea Turtle found floating near Fort Myers Beach and an adult Loggerhead Sea Turtle who was the victim of a boat strike near Marco Island.

With sea turtles already occupying CROW’s three large tanks, staff veterinarians reached out to Florida Fish and Wildlife about how to proceed. FWC arranged for the Loggerhead Marinelife Center to pick up both of the Loggerhead Sea Turtles for transfer back to their facility in Juno Beach.

Once the Marinelife Center volunteers arrived, CROW staff helped them load the two large Loggerheads onto stretchers and into their transport vehicle.
