So many people that visit Fort Myers Beach make their way here via the Southwest Florida International Airport. The Trump administration has awarded the airport $14.5 million of a $335 million pool of grants being passed out to airports around the country. The money is for airport safety and infrastructure. In all 80 airports in 25 states are getting grants.
