There were five 7-Eleven locations on Fort Myers Beach before Hurricane Ian. The location on the south end, across from Santini Plaza, was the first to reopen. The 7-Eleven at 6221 Estero was sold to the town for parking, and the other 3 locations are being rebuilt. One of those locations opened yesterday.
Yesterday, the new 7‑Eleven next to The Whale (1301 Estero) officially opened for business. It’s sort of a soft opening. They have announced that a Grand Opening celebration of the location will be held on July 16th from 10AM to 6PM with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11AM.
The event will include vendor sampling, live DJ, exclusive 7‑Eleven giveaways, and special in‑store promotions. This location does not sell gas.
The 7-Eleven across from the old Junkanoo property, which does sell gas, looks like it will be next to open, although the company has not announced a date yet. There is also a 7-Eleven returning across from Lynn Hall Park that isn’t as further along.
