The Fort Myers Beach Kids Foundation receently held their annual Scholarship Awards Dinner giving out $28,000 in scholarships. They had 26 applicants this year all with ties to Fort Myers Beach. Over 60 people attended the event which was held at St. Raphael’s Comfort Hall and catered by local Chef Kevin Paridiso.
Students will be attending the University of Georgia School of Dentistry, Ave Maria Law School, FSW RN nursing, Johns Hopkins Univ Bio Medical Engineering, just to name a few.
Estero Island Historical Society President Ellie Bunting was the guest speaker.
Two “outstanding scholarships” were presented by Fran Myers in honor of Tom Myers to
student Chloe Brown and another presented by Gini Smith in honor of her mother Roxi Smith to student Mallory Amos.
