FOLKS, the Citizen Support Organization for Lovers Key State Park, is growing and looking to expand its volunteer base. With the opening of the new Welcome & Discovery Center there’s a need for volunteers and committee chairs.
Volunteering with FOLKS offers volunteers an opportunity to play a vital role in the operations, activities, and special events that are supported by the Friends of Lovers Key. The organization is looking for people interested in creating and implementing
new programming and events. “We invite you to help us preserve, protect and support the wonders and beauty of this unique state park.”
The Friends of Lovers Key are currently looking for volunteers in the following positions:
Welcome & Discovery Center Docents
Volunteer Coordinator
Nature Nook bookstore
Event Planners
Staff Writers
Education Committee Members
Photographers
Fundraising, Marketing, and Community Relations.
