According to Turtle Time as of this week, there are still 69 turtle nests on Fort Myers Beach (same as last week) and there have been 202 False crawls (same as last week) crawls. 32 nests have now hatched (up from 24 last week) on Fort Myers Beach.
Down in Bonita, there are 151 nests (same as last week) and there have been 268 false crawls (also the same as last week). 95 nests have now hatched in Bonita up from 57 last week.
Turtle Time would like to remind everyone to remember to close drapes at night. Visible interior white lights cause hatchlings to crawl away from the gulf. They will perish if they don’t find their way to the gulf.
