On Monday, January 8th from 1PM to 2PM at The Mound House (451 Connecticut Street), the Estero Island Historical Society is hosting a presentation by Alexandria Edwards, Marketing & Public Relations Coordinator for the Edison and Ford Winter Estates.

The presentation is called Edison and Ford: Two Giants Who Helped Shape Southwest Florida. All are welcome to attend, free of charge. Donations are appreciated.

Learn about the history of a unique treasure in Southwest Florida visited by over 200,000 people a year. Alexandria will shed light on the story of why Edison and Ford chose to build vacation homes in Fort Myers and how they shaped the development of Southwest Florida into what is today. Take a step back in time and see the evolution of this beautiful estate from Edison’s arrival in 1885 to the 21st century.
