Wednesday night, at The Pink Shell Resort on Fort Myers Beach, State Insurance CEO Blake Chapman and his team invited every charity organization his company has given money to over the past five years. And then he gave away more money.
For years, on a monthly basis, State Insurance has picked local 501c3’s to give $500 checks to. Wednesday night they were all treated to free food and drinks at the Pink Shell. Every organization that showed up was entered into a drawing where another $8,000 was given away.
There were three $1,000 winners: GiGi’s Playhouse, The Friends of Lovers Key, and Octagon Wildlife Refuge. Fort Myers Christian School was the $5,000 winner.
