Brian and Stacey Martins purchased The Island’s Pancake House in the Seagrape Plaza June 24th 2022. We all know what happened 3 months later. After two years of ups and downs – mostly downs – they hope to be back open on August 1st.

Brian and Stacey Martins moved to Southwest Florida from Minnesota in 2022. They decided to buy The Island’s Pancake House because of the old school vibe of Fort Myers Beach. Brian tells Beach Talk Radio that after Ian they thought a lot about what they wanted to do and decided their dream was still not achieved. “So we made the decision to rebuild. We looked at a lot of other locations but deep down we knew Fort Myers Beach was where we wanted to live out our dream.”

Brian says the last two years have produced a lot of ups and downs, mostly downs. “But now that we can see the finish line we are extremely excited we will be able to serve the Fort Myers Beach community. We are also looking forward to hiring back some former employees. We know some have moved on in their lives and we can’t get them back but this will open the door for us to hire on other Fort Myers Beach residents. This is very important to us and the community.”

The goal is to be open on or around August first. When that happens, The Island’s Pancake House will be the first business to reopen in the three big retails strip malls on Fort Myers Beach: Key Estero Shops, Seagrape Plaza and Santini Plaza. It’s expected that something will open at Santini later this year.

Here is the full menu for The Island’s Pancake House. We will of course keep you posted when they open and plan to be there to broadcast live when their doors swing back open for the first time.
