The Fort Myers Beach Woman’s Club is hosting its 3rd Annual Christmas Tree Festival & Auction tonight and tomorrow at the historic Woman’s Club Clubhouse. 17 Christmas trees will be up for auction to help raise money for local non-profits. This year you will also be able to bid on the trees online.

VIP tickets are $30 and that gets you two free drinks, early entry at 4:30, a food truck voucher and entry into the chili cook off. The Woman’s Club also asks that guests bring an unwrapped toy for the Beach Kids Foundation.

“For the past two years, the Woman’s Club has created a winter wonderland that has auctioned fantastic, one-of-a kind Holiday trees which were created by area nonprofits,” stated Megan Allers, festival co-chairman. “The Festival has raised over $5,000 for all the participating nonprofits who decorated a tree each year and has been a way for the organizations to introduce their charity to our residents.”

The Festival includes two days of silent bidding on custom Christmas Trees, as well as this year’s new addition, holiday wreaths. All trees and wreaths are donated and decorated by area non-profit organizations and local businesses. All funds raised for each tree, will go back to their designated charity.

On Saturday, the festivities begin at 1 pm and feature a holiday vendor market, bake sale, and appearances by Santa. The 3rd annual Chili cook-off begins at 4:30 pm, and guests purchase tastes and votes for $5. “The competition will be fierce,” added Megan. The winner will be announced at 8 pm along with the final silent tree and wreath auction winners.

“This year we are celebrating a time to come together once again to see our friends and neighbors, added Stephanie Buboltz, festival co-chair. “We encourage people to come out and safely see the beautiful trees and donate back to the island non-profits.”
