During a routine colonoscopy this month Beach Buddy Tours Captain John Simoneau was diagnosed with colon cancer. With COVID-19 hammering the business hard this was terrible news to have to receive.
John’s wife Carolyn has set up a GoFundMe campaign to assist with their medical bills and to help cover day-to-day living expenses.
Carolyn told us last night it’s likely that John will be coming home from the hospital this Friday. He made it through surgery to remove half his colon Monday afternoon and is doing well at the hospital. He’s tired and sore but doing well.
The tumor and lymph nodes are being sent out and they should know the course of action by the end of the week.
It’s unknown at this time of John will need chemo. His recovery time if nothing else is found will be 8-12 weeks.
