Kiwanis Rewards Kids For Good Grades

The Kiwanis Club of Fort Myers Beach has donated items from their BUG Program (Bringing Up Grades) to the Beach Elementary School. Unlike a traditional honor program where only “A’s” are rewarded, this program rewards and recognizes students who improve their grades.

Alicia Catlett, whose students are seen here with their rewards, provided these pictures of her students with some of their rewards. A few other classrooms are also using these incentives to encourage students to do their best always. Rewards include pencils, pencil flags, stickers and buttons.

If you’d like to join Kiwanis, they hold monthly meetings at Bonita Bills the third Thursday of the month at 5:30 PM. If you have any questions about the club, email
