After serving 9 years as a Fort Myers Beach Fire Commissioner, Larry Wood has confirmed he will not be running for re-election when his term expires at the end of this year. Ron Fleming is also up for re-election and he is running.
Fire district seats are for 4 years. There are no applicants for Wood’s seat as of today. The fire board is made up of 5 members that meet monthly at DiamondHead Resort.
