As the number of people receiving the COVID-19 vaccine continues to grow, the number of cases in Lee County continue to decrease. Lee Health Systems reported 55 patients in their hospitals as of Thursday, one of the lowest numbers we’ve seen in a very long time.
There were only 3 new patients on Thursday. 68% of the Lee Health System ventilators and 34% of its ICU rooms are available. There are 4 COVID-19 patients on ventilators and 7 in the ICU.
With the hospitals now at 94% of staffed operational bed capacity, with 3.9% of those being COVID-19 patients.
