On Friday at 9AM the Lee County Supervisor of Elections Office will conduct a logic and accuracy test of the election systems and voting equipment that will be used in the 2026 general election.
In accordance with Florida law, the Elections Office will test the tabulators used for vote-by-mail, early voting and Election Day voting. Logic and accuracy testing verifies that the election systems and voting equipment are functioning properly and counting votes accurately.
Testing will take place on the third floor of the Melvin Morgan Constitutional Complex, 2480 Thompson St., Fort Myers.
The test is open to the public and will be conducted in the presence of the Lee County Canvassing Board.
The members of the Canvassing Board for the 2026 general election are Lee County Judge Devin George, chair of the Canvassing Board; Investigative Supervisor Steven A. Scalici of the State Attorney’s Office for the 20th Judicial Circuit; and City of Fort Myers Ward 5 Councilman Fred Burson.
Canvassing Board alternates are Lee County Judge Javier Pacheco and Lee County Elections Branch Manager Jennifer Erickson.
Lee County Supervisor of Elections Jenna Persons-Mulicka will not serve on the Canvassing Board for the general election because she is a candidate on the ballot. She will continue to perform her duties, including serving in an advisory capacity to the Board, as required by Florida statute. Chief Judge J. Frank Porter of the 20th Judicial Circuit appointed Councilman Burson to serve on the Board in her place.
