– Join our Artist-in-Residence Jenny M. Licht to paint your own heron on canvas. This regal bird is wading in a lowland against a sunset backdrop complete with cattails and marsh grasses. All class materials are provided: gallery wrapped 11” x 14” canvas, use of brushes, apron, palette, easel, acrylic paint, paint cloths and other supplies as well as step by step art guidance. All levels of experience are welcome!

– Join a park ranger for a beach cleanup at Mid-Beach. Enjoy a lovely hour on the beach as you do your part to keep our state park (and planet!) clean. Participants will record the types of trash they collect, and the findings will help inform park messaging. Gloves, trash bags, pickers, pencils, and data sheets will be provided.
