Margaritaville General Manager Yenier Gonzalez Marrero was recently named General Manager of the Year from 32 Margaritaville Resorts in the United States and Caribbean.
Many of the resorts Yenier was competing against have over 300 employees. Margaritaville on Fort Myers Beach has 430 employees.

Congratulations Yenier, and from what Tom described, it sounds as though you have read “The Art of War” by Sun Tsu and applied those principles of leadership. I think that it is also very telling that Margaritaville employs 420 people. It would be very interesting to know how many jobs on FMB rely on those pesky visitors crossing the bridges to “your island” to spend their pesky tourist dollars to enjoy our tropical island paradise; I’m guessing all of them.
