Sanibel Captiva Community Bank will expand the operating hours of its Fort Myers Beach temporary office beginning Wednesday, April 29th.
Beginning Wednesday, April 29, the temporary office will be open Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 100 Lovers Lane off Estero Boulevard, located on the third floor of the Access Title Agency building. Services offered include account opening, check cashing, coin orders, notary services, and cashier and counter checks.
The bank purchased a .41 acre lot across from the library at 2670 Estero Boulevard in 2024 for $1.794 million. The original announced plan was to break ground on the new bank in early 2025 and open in 2026. The bank has not even broken ground on the property yet and they are not saying when they will or why the original plans didn’t materialize.
Before Hurricane Ian, the building on that lot was a real estate office with a vacation rental above the office.
