The Fort Myers Beach Town Council will allow open containers outside the restaurants in the Times Square area during the New Years Eve Fireworks celebration. The time frame for open containers will be 12PM New Years Eve to 1AM on New Years Day.

Oh no where are the prude police on this one. The town as we know it will be ruined forever. Drunks and gambling and hookers will be everywhere. Close the bridge. It’s our island. Oh I just said that out loud. Sorry.
Actually no gambling. The town denied the lady’s permit that wanted to put gambling video games in her wine bar.
