The Beach Kids Foundation hosted a pancake breakfast this past Saturday at St. Raphael’s Episcopal Church. $1200 was raised which will be used to cover a scholarship for one of the Beach Kids. Fort Myers Beach firefighters were there to help cook the flapjacks for those who attended.
Foundation member Debbie Grohl: “A Big shout out to Fort Myers Beach Fire District Fireman for serving and flipping the pancakes. Also thank you St Raphael’s Episcopal Church for sharing Comfort Hall with us, you have a great facility and we appreciate you. Love your kitchen. The highlight of the morning would have to be the newest fireman carrying on tradition from years ago when we did the Pancake Breakfast at Red Coconut, they had to go on stage and sing a song of their choice. It brought a standing ovation. Can’t wait until our next Pancake Breakfast.”
