The minor Bourn was with was reported missing which led to a massive search by authiorities on the water of Fort Myers Beach.
In December 2025, Bourn was arrested for providing the minor with drugs and alcohol after the missing juvenile was located intoxicated and under the influence of narcotics on his sailboat. Bourn is a registered sex offender and after his arrest members of the Sexual Offender & Predator Unit conducted a detailed review additionally charged him with four sex offender violations.
When he was brought back to Lee County, Judge Andrew Marcus ordered Bourn be held without bond.
