The Fort Myers Beach Art Association is inviting residents and visitors to support local students by visiting the FMBAA gallery to view the Student Exhibit which is running through March 31.
Admission is free to the public from Monday through Saturday from 10am -3pm and the FMBAA gallery is located at 3030 Shell Mound Blvd, Fort Myers Beach.
The judging team for this year’s recipients for the scholarship awards and other awards consisted of Rene Chastant and Suzanne Bennett, who offered a gallery talk and critique for each student. The exhibit contains works from college bound seniors from Cypress Lake Center for the Arts and Cypress Lake High School students.
To encourage development of the arts in the community, three scholarships are awarded to seniors going on to study art at the college or university level. The annual Student Scholarship Show and awards are supported financially through grants by the yearlong fund-raising activities of the members of the Fort Myers Beach Art Association and Gallery.
