October is Cancer Awareness Month on Sanibel and the entire SWFL community is invited to tea on Tuesday, October 4th from 11A-1P at Sundial Beach Resort & Spa. The Pink Tea Party launches a month of events supporting local cancer needs hosted by the San Cap Pink Project.

Organization founder Mary Bondurandt says all Pink Project events are designed to honor, remember, and raise awareness. “Proceeds from ticket sales, contributions to the raffles and auctions, donations, and merchandise sales benefit uninsured and underinsured members of local communities needing help with cancer related needs.”

Sundial Beach Resort & Spa GM Becky Miller said the resort is happy to be a returning partner. “Last year’s pink tea was such a great celebration, involving the entire community. This year’s event is shaping up to be equally exciting and supportive of the
cause.”

NBC2 Anchor Lisa Spooner

NBC2 anchor Lisa Spooner returns as emcee. “The Pink Out Tea on Sanibel is one of the highlights of my year. Having a maternal grandmother who was a breast cancer survivor as well as several friends who have battled the unfair disease, I always try to make sure I do my part to support causes which support the brave men and women who have battled and continue to fight breast cancer.”

Pink Tea Party attendees will enjoy a full high tea, including tea sandwiches, petit fours, and scones. Paul Rozmus, flutist from Renata Band, will be provide background music with his signature combination of jazz, pop, blues, and soul.

Designer centerpieces from RS Walsh – In The Garden, first class photography by Ted Myerson, plenty of pink bubbly contributed by Bailey’s General Store, and a lively raffle are planned. Fred Bondurant and John Bondurant of Kingfisher Real Estate donated to support entertainment.
