The Master Gardener Volunteers of Lee County want to help you rebuild a yard that is both beautiful and sustainable. A free seminar called Right Plant in Every Place on Our Barrier Island is being held Saturday, October 3rd from 9:30 to 11:30 at the beach Library.
In addition to being provided basic information about how to determine which plant is right for different areas within your landscape, a Plant Guide app will allow you to narrow your search by your zip code, select a category of plant (tree, shrub, perennial, etc.) and then narrow down the category (by shape, color of flowers, whether it likes sun or shade, etc.). The Master Gardener Volunteers will demonstrate how to use it and answer any questions you may have.
Please bring your smart phone, tablet or laptop with you. To get the most out of the interactive session, have the Florida-Friendly Landscaping Plant Guide downloaded and ready for use.
Pre-registration is preferred to secure your space and make sure everyone receives materials. Register today by calling the Fort Myers Beach Public Library at 239-765-8162 or CLICKING HERE.
