The Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting celebration Friday, November 7th at The Whale more than 3 years after Hurricane Ian wiped out their building. We were at the event to cover it live.

The Whale opens to the public at 11AM this Friday.
The Miller’s purchased the popular beach hangout months before the storm and have been working on rebuilding for several years. They also purchased the Tuckaway Cafe property about 1 mile south on Estero Boulevard and will reopen that building as Sandy Bottom, which includes a large outdoor tiki bar. And, they added the old Firehouse building near the Red Cocount proprty and plan to open that as a take out restaurant called Station 31.
The Whale is located at 1249 Estero Blvd just past Margaritaville.
