The Fort Myers Beach Art Association is having its annual Art Divine Artwork sale and celebration December 15th from 4-6 PM. The event is free. There will be original artwork by local artists, all reasonably priced, with nothing over $150. Live artist demonstrations and a creation station for kids will be available for all to enjoy.
The FMB Art Association was incorporated in 1951 and is an all-volunteer member operated, not-for-profit art association. They first began meeting in a Chickee hut built by members but the gallery is now located at 3030 Shellmound (corner of Donora and Shellmound) where the event will take place.
The Art Association has over 150 members, many who are nationally recognized artists. They have a robust schedule of shows, workshops/classes and painting groups both indoors and out.
In addition to holding art exhibitions and programs which are open to the public, the FMB Art Association provides education in the cultural aspects of life on Fort Myers Beach, promotes the study, practice and appreciation of art and encourages art instruction of children and junior artists. They provide scholarships to winners and runners up pursuing art education in college at their April student show.
Don’t miss this great event however if you can’t attend, art sales will be going on from Dec.13th- Jan. 13th between the hours of 4-6 PM.
