The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife has announced that Gulf Coast News Anchor Channing Frampton will serve as emcee for the 2027 WILD About CROW Gala, Saturday, January 16, 2027, at The Forest Country Club in Fort Myers.
“We’re excited to welcome Channing as this year’s emcee,” says Grace Murphy, Director of Communications and Development at CROW. “His passion for environmental reporting and appreciation for Florida’s native birds and wildlife make him a natural fit for WILD About CROW. He’s also going to get a first-hand look at how passionate our supporters are in Southwest Florida and beyond.”
WILD About CROW is the nonprofit’s largest annual gala. In its 7th year, the fundraiser brings the community together to celebrate Southwest Florida’s native and migratory wildlife while also raising essential funds for the organization’s wildlife hospital and research programs.
“Migratory birds have always been fascinating to me,” says Frampton. “CROW’s mission to support the wildlife that calls the Gulf Coast home is very important to me. Our animals are a big part of what makes Southwest Florida so special. I’m happy to support an organization that works so hard to preserve that natural beauty. It’s also inspiring to see the release of rehabilitated animals when we share those stories on Gulf Coast News.”
Guests will enjoy dinner, open bar, live entertainment, exciting auctions, and opportunities to meet CROW’s Educational Wildlife Ambassadors.
WILD About CROW directly supports the care of more than 5,000 injured and orphaned wild animals that arrive at the clinic on Sanibel Island each year.
