Owners of the former Bahama Beach Club, located at 5370 and 5371 Estero Boulevard, are hoping to break ground in 2 months. The condo units at that location were destroyed by Hurricane Ian.

The BBC condo association plans to rebuild 22 units in 11 modular buildings. They have property on both sides of Estero Boulevard. There are 22 owners of the condo.
Studio AD Architect CEO Albert Dambrose is working on the project and tells Beach Talk Radio, “The Development Order for the project on the beach side is approved and building permits for all six duplexes are close to being approved by the town. Just waiting on the state DEP perimeter approval, which is expected to come in March orApril. The Bayside part of the project is in the process of getting those permits approved with the town next.”

    • You’re right about that! These look like they fit in. They kind of remind me of the old Pink Shell cottages my dad and uncles would rent back in the day. 17 stories are not the right fit for Fort Myers Beach.

      • You got to keep in mind how much is the Developer paying for land to build something affordable for more prospective owners per unit.

  1. These look amazing! Can’t wait to watch the rebuild! I had to look up photos to remember the location. Congratulations, I am sure the owners are ecstatic!
