In case you were unaware, TPI, the development company building the new resort on Fort Myers Beach, regularly provides updates on the project on its Facebook page. A recent post which showed the finished layout with a focus on the Fins Up Beach Club triggered two questions that TPI wanted to answer…

First, here’s the picture of the resort that was posted that led to the questions:
The biggest question always surrounds the parking. TPI says the resort will be encouraging resorts guests to not rent cars but to take a one way from RSW to the resort and its “walkable district.”

There will be a 360-vehicle parking garage under the building and 30 additional stalls on  the island side of the Fins Up Beach Club. They are also putting 100 additional spots immediately on the other side of Matanzas Pass Bridge with a bicycle and golf cart rental operation on site.

The other question was about public admission to the Fins Up Beach Club. In addition to accommodating the resorts guests, the Town has authorized the resort to sell 325 general public admissions daily. You will be able to advance purchase and reserve your dates.

The official groundbreaking on the Margaritaville resort took place in August of 2021. The projected time-frame for opening day is August 2023.

The resort will feature over 200 rooms (most with a view of the beach), a 5000sq ft ballroom, and a large elevated terrace to host special events. The main hotel will be connected to the beach via a safe, easy to access walkover, where guests can lounge by a large pool, grab a bite to eat or drink and enjoy live entertainment. There will also be 30 beachfront suites with amazing views of the gulf and its spectacular sunsets.
