Here’s The VCB’s New Commercial

The Lee County Visitors and Conventions Bureau has launched a new :30 TV ad hoping to pull more people to the area to spend their vacation money. Here’s the ad and here are the markets they are running the ad…

  • Florida:Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Tampa and West Palm Beach
  • Primary markets:Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis and New York
  • Secondary markets:Buffalo, Columbus, Flint, Fort Wayne, Green Bay, Philadelphia, Portland, South Bend, St. Louis and Toledo
  • Tertiary markets: Albany, Atlanta, Dayton, Hartford, Lansing, Louisville, Madison, Peoria, Pittsburgh and Rochester

  1. Hello!!! Remember us up here north of the border? Has the VCB forgotten about Florida’s biggest foreign tourists? When we chose to spend our retirement in Florida I researched I wish at the time we were able to see ads like this it would have made the research and decision easier. I know other areas of Florida do cater to both English and French speaking Canadians. Personally
I think Fort Myers and FMB are hidden gems and love the area

  2. Guess I hold a little different perspective, crediting LEE COUNTY Visitors & Convention Bureau (VCB), trying to attract people to LEE COUNTY and changing their focus with a new “slogan = Fort Myers, Islands, Beaches, and Neighborhoods”, to be more Fort Myers and Southwest Florida inclusive, while using one of the strongest draws to the area.

  3. This entire ad shows fort Myers beach not fort Myers. Where is our advocate at the VCB? They continue to misrepresent us, but more importantly, why do we allow it? This organization is supposed to work for us as a non-biased organization who helps promote each community they serve.
