The annual 5th of July beach cleanup sponsored by Keep Lee County Beautiful, is still in need of volunteers. 45 of the 100 slots for the Lynn Hall Park location are filled.

Each year the beaches are littered following 4th of July events. Firework debris, sparklers, beer cans, lawn chairs, flip-flops and other party casualties will be collected and picked up before they have a chance to pollute the waterways. Come out and join the “Morning After Mess Beach Cleanup.” The cleanup is from 8AM to 10AM.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome and any individual, family, school, group, place of worship, business or government entity can participate.

Keep Lee County Beautiful provides cleanup supplies, but they also encourage volunteers to bring their own mask, gloves and water. They will have water, garbage bags, latex gloves, neck buffs, and hand sanitizer. Also remember to bring your sunscreen!
