On Saturday Keep Lee County Beautiful sponsored a beach cleanup that started at Bowditch Beach Park on the north end of Fort Myers Beach. According to KLCB about 20 volunteers picked up over 300 pounds of garbage.

Big thanks to all the volunteers for helping to keep our environment and the beach clean!! It is truly sad to see people come to the beach to enjoy its beauty but then leave their garbage behind. So ignorant and lazy!
