Some of the same partners that owned the original Wahoo Willies in Times Square from 1999-2010 are getting the band back together to open a new restaurant not too far from Snug Harbor on Old San Carlos.
The new Wahoo Willies will be a covered outdoor Tiki Bar and restaurant that seats 155. It’s expected to open May 1st and the menu will be unveiled in the coming months.
The restaurant was approved in the original development order for that area. The building is 160 feet long and will include a circular bar.
The old Wahoo Willies was in the location that is now home to Mango Rita’s. A fire in the kitchen led to the restaurant eventually closing its doors.
