Fort Myers Beach Town Manager Andy Hyatt says the new Times Square clock will be installed this Thursday. It will then be covered until September 28th, the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Ian, which is when the previous clock was lost in the storm.
An official clock unveiling will be held on September 28th immediately following the service being held at Bayside Park at 9AM. We will be there to cover the unveiling live.
Back in June, the Fort Myers Beach Town Council accepted a donation from George and Linda Merschman of $38,000 to purchase the replacement clock.
