With $9,840 raised in the month of July, Karen Woodson edged out Ray Murphy ($9,467) in campaign donations in the race for Fort Myers Beach town council. John King raised $1,325 in July while Patrick Romcoe didn’t raise any money
Murphy has now raised a total of $15,542.78 since announcing his campaign for re-election. Woodson is a close second with $14,540. King has raised a total of $5,800. Romcoe has brought in a total of $336.57.
Here are donors that gave the maximum donations of $1,000 in July.
Estero Boulevard homeowners Eddie Rood and Kurt Kromer donated $1,000 to the Murphy campaign. Also giving $1,000 to Murphy were: Randy Lane residents Darrell and Lorna Littrell, Lavonia, GA residents James and Renae Pearson and Doral, FL resident Ivette Argudin.
Woodson’s $1,000 donations came from Mangorita’s Restaurant, Coastal Vacation Properties, Peter Albert, Alex King and Garrett Kraska.
King and Romcoe did not receive any $1,000 donations in July.
Candidates will most likely use their campaign funds for signs, mailers and other forms of advertising. Expect to see more signs 30-60 days before election day on November 8th.
On the expenditure side, Woodson has spent $5,106.96 to date. King has spent $1,197.16. Murphy has spent $863.54. Romcoe has spent $44.50.
