On Thursday we sent a check for $4,000 to Louise Kowitch at The Friends of Lovers Key which will help her replace all the equipment she lost during Hurricane Ian for the Summer education program she runs for elementary and high school kids. Here’s where the money came from.
Wednesday night, for several hours, 81 of you donated your hard-earned money and we were able to go over the goal of $3,709.88, which was the actual cost to replace the equipment for the kids.
The equipment you’ll help replace include life vests, snorkel masks, maps, acrylic paints, all purpose eco-friendly cleaners and other assorted items.
THANK YOU YELLOW ARMY!!!
And thank you to Town Council Member Karen Woodson for coming up with the idea.
