32-year old Fort Myers Beach resident Ryan Ray was arrested early Sunday morning charged with battery and child abuse.
LCSO reports the 350 pound man started an unprovoked argument with a female and minor child that led to Ray pushing both down the front stairs at Hooters on Estero Boulevard.
The incident was captured on video according to the police report.
Ray faces two counts of battery and one count of cruelty toward a child. A court date was set for June 29th on one of the battery charges and July 12th for the other battery charge and cruelty charge.
Ray’s bail was set at $6,000 ($3,000 per charge) for the battery charges and $5,000 on the cruelty charge. He was out of jail by Sunday afternoon.
Ray’s address in the police report is listed as Fairweather Lane, Fort Myers Beach.
