Creation of Nuisance Abatement Board Moving Forward

It appears the Fort Myers Beach Town Council is moving forward with approving an ordinance that would create a Nuisance Abatement Board. The board is being created to help the community deal with public safety issues on the island. Councilman Jim Atterholt calls it "another tool in the toolbox."

Two Lawsuits Filed Against Lani Kai

Both lawsuits are a result of the murder that took place on the property of the hotel last month. Fort Myers attorney Joe North is representing both Thomasina Daniels, the mother of 22-year old Johnny Jackson, who was the man killed, and Jackson's cousin Traviasia Blanks.

Lani Kai Killer Person of Interest in Custody

On Beach Talk Radio Saturday, August 1st, Lee County Commissioner Ray Sandelli said the Lee County Sheriff's Department has a "person of interest" in custody related to the Lain Kai murder which took place on July 15.
