Florida Senator Jonathn Martin is the guest speaker Friday, November 14th at FastTrax in Fort Myers. The luncheon is being sponsored by The Chamber of Southwest Florida. 

The Friends of The Mound House are hosting a Murder Mystery dinner to kick off the 2026 season, Saturday January 31, 2026 at DiamondHead Resort on Fort Myers Beach.

On Monday, November 3rd , at 10:00 AM the Fort Myers Beach Library will have a presentation on plants that will help stem the decline of butterflies, bees and other insects.

There is no clear answer on that question yet. As of today, Fort Myers Beach Council Member John King remains on the recall ballot, despite a judge’s ruling that his lawsuit to stop the recall can move forward.

Lee County has approved two contracts, totaling $14 million, to repair sidewalks, the roadway, and pedestrian safety items on Estero Boulevard caused by Hurricane Ian over 3 years ago. The work begins next month and is expected to take a year. 

The Bonita Fish Company, formerly Bonita Bill's, located under the Matanzas Pass Bridge on the way to Fort Myers Beach will open to the public Monday, November 3rd.

More than three years after Hurricane Ian, this Sunday St. Raphael’s Episcopal Church members will attend service in their newly rebuilt church when it reopens at 5601 Williams Drive. Father Michael will be our guest Saturday to share the good news.

St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church on Estero Boulevard is having its Rededication Service and Celebration Sunday November 23. The main building of the church recently reopened after being badly damaged by Hurricane Ian.
