Anita Cereceda, who as Mayor guided the Fort Myers Beach community through the early stages of the pandemic with her strong leadership and nightly information sessions with the public, is now a member of the Local Planning Agency.
Anita was term limited off the town council in 2020 after her previous term expired. As Mayor she was also very instrumental working with TPI to get Margaritaville across the finish line.
When Anita first got into public service on Fort Myers Beach it was as a member of the LPA. She served as Mayor from 1995 to 1999, March 2014 to March 2016 and March 2019 to March 2020
Anita also owns three businesses on the island.
Also joining the LPA, Karen Woodson. Karen is also a member of the Bay Oaks Committee.
