On Thursday the Fort Myers Beach Town Council discussed a list of "public benefits" the town expects developers to bring to the table if those developers plan to ask for more density or intensity than what their property allows. Vice Mayor Jim Atterholt (pictured) gave them all a road map.

LeeTran's free tram on Fort Myers Beach is back beginning November 16. The tram will run about every 35 minutes, seven days a week from the Fort Myers Beach Public Library to Bowditch Point Park.

Members of the Let's Go FMB Fort Myers Beach pier committee, Town Council member Karen Woodson and Fort Myers Beach Chamber President Jacki Liszak are meeting with Lee County Manager Dave Harner on November 27th to discuss the future of the pier.

Eddie Rood and Kurt Kroemer have begun building their 293-foot wooden walkover to the beach now that turtle season has ended. Construction is expected to take 10 days before the walkover is complete.

St. Peter Lutheran Church held its first parking lot service of the season this past Sunday. 73 people attended with Pastor Bill Stehr leading the service. Cider and donuts were served following the service.
