Free Beach Tram Returns in 9 Days
LeeTran's free tram on Fort Myers Beach is back beginning November 16. The tram will run about every 35 minutes, seven days a week from the Fort Myers Beach Public Library to Bowditch Point Park.
What’s The Latest on The Pier Rebuild?
Members of the Let's Go FMB Fort Myers Beach pier committee, Town Council member Karen Woodson and Fort Myers Beach Chamber President Jacki Liszak are meeting with Lee County Manager Dave Harner on November 27th to discuss the future of the pier.
Dune Walkover Construction Underway
Eddie Rood and Kurt Kroemer have begun building their 293-foot wooden walkover to the beach now that turtle season has ended. Construction is expected to take 10 days before the walkover is complete.
Church is Back in Session
St. Peter Lutheran Church held its first parking lot service of the season this past Sunday. 73 people attended with Pastor Bill Stehr leading the service. Cider and donuts were served following the service.
Town Manager Files Annual Report
Town Manager Andy Hyatt has filed a 27-page annual report for the Town Council, Fort Myers Beach residents and the public to see. It includes every project the town is now engaged in since Hyatt took over as Manager May 1, 2023. Download the report HERE.
FMB Strong Sending Christmas Cards to Marines
FMB Strong, located at 820 Buttonwood is collecting Christmas cards to send overseas to deployed US Marines serving in Okinawa. Completed cards can be dropped off at 820 Buttonwood between now and Friday, December 1st.
