Beach Theater Owner Eyes New Restaurant
Steve Boge, the owner of the old Beach Theater building at 6345 Estero Boulevard, has
filed a pre-application request with the town requesting feedback on whether the town has any issues with him converting the building into a restaurant.

Here’s The Results of Your Efforts
On December 1st you all donated over $3,000 so the Fort Myers Beach Little League could purchase a new pitching machine. Hurricane Ian took their previous machine. This week the folks at Little League sent over a few pictures of the new unit in use. Great work everyone!

Please Help Take Down These Cool Signs
The Historical Society will be displaying the old beachy vibe street signs, that Fort Myers Beach residents created, at their cottage building at 161 Bay Road. The organization is asking for help removing the signs and getting them over to their building.

Woman’s Club Gives Out $20K During Tree Festival
The 6th Annual Fort Myers Beach Woman’s Club Christmas Tree Festival is in the books. More than $20,000 will be given back to local charitable organizations from the Christmas Tree and Wreath bidding auction.
Chapel By The Sea Coming Down This Week
Heavy equipment was brought onto the church property last week and Chapel By The Sea co-chair of Buildings Tom Means told Beach Talk Radio News the severely damaged structure should be demolished this week. It has not been touched since Hurricane Ian.
Should The Town Rename Bayside Park?
The FMB Town Council is looking into changing the name of Bayside Park to either Veterans Memorial Bayside Park or Bayside Veterans Park to honor veterans. A plaque is also being worked on and will eventually be erected. What is your vote for the new name?
Another New Fort Myers Beach Business Opens
It's called Suzie Q's Tiki Bar & Treasures and it's located at 163 Old San Carlos, the former home of the South Seas Trader property, which Suzie Bahan and her family have owned for many years. The South Seas Trader building was just about destroyed by Hurricane Ian and had to be demolished.
