Town Going After Work Being Done Without Permits
This Thursday at 11AM, Fort Myers Beach Special Magistrate Myrnabelle Roche will hear several cases of work without a permit. And, once again, she'll see someone who's become a regular before her, Times Square property owner Terry Persaud.
County Releases Hurricane-Ian After Action Report
The report is a review of Lee County’s preparedness, response and recovery efforts. It focuses on countywide operations and includes recommendations to improve how the county responds to storms in the future. Read the 28-page report HERE.
Important Meeting at DiamondHead Tonight
Meetings are being held this month for Lee County to get public input on the Draft Action Plan for the $1.1 billion Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery funds received from the Federal Government. The Fort Myers Beach meeting is tonight at 5:30PM.
New Bayside Park Astro-Turf Coming Soon
The work to repair Bayside Park is well underway and, according to Town Manager Andy Hyatt the new astro-turf will be installed on August 25th and 26th. Hyatt says the goal is to have Bayside Park open by Labor Day.

Fort Myers Beach Mayor Dan Allers gave members of the House Oversight Committee a tour of Fort Myers Beach Thursday. The tour followed the Hurricane Ian FEMA response held in Fort Myers Earlier in the day.
