SCCF reports that 415 volunteers joined forces across Sanibel, Captiva and North Captiva for the 2024 International Coastal Cleanup. They filled a dumpster with over 1,180 pounds of trash during the event.

With the uncertainty of a possible hurricane heading our way this week, the town of Fort Myers Beach has issued a statement asking residents to be prepared. Town Hall has sand and bags available  for residents, at 2731 Oak Street.

2024-2025 Budget and Millage Rate Approved

On Monday night the Fort Myers Beach Town Council approved a millage rate of .99 per $1,000 of assessed property value for fiscal year 2025. It’s the same millage rate the town had on the books in both 2023 and 2024.
